Elegy

Elegy é o mais recente filme de Isabel Coixet, que também realizou dois dos meus "dramas" favoritos, "My life without me" e " The secret life of words".
O filme Elegy é uma adaptação do livro "The Dying Animal" do escritor norte-americano Philip Roth.
O seu amigo George O’Hearn (Dennis Hopper), poeta e vencedor de um Pulitzer avisa-o: “Beautiful women are invisible…No one can see the actual person…We’re so dazzled by the outside, we never make it to the inside.”

The term "elegy" originally denoted a type of poetic meter (elegiac meter). It commonly describes a poem of mourning, from the Greek elegeia (derived from elegos)—a reflection on the death of someone or on a sorrow generally. As such, it may be classified as a form of lyric poetry.
An elegy can also reflect on something that seems strange or mysterious to the author. in Wikipédia
